Lawton Grimball, Property Manager, Lawton@danielravenel.com
Lawton grew up and has spent the majority of his life in Charleston. In fact, the Grimball family was involved in the initial settlement of the area in the late 1600s. Locally educated at Porter Gaud School and graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in history, Lawton is also a proud veteran, having served in the United States Navy in his college years. Lawton began his professional career in commercial banking and helped consumers with mortgages and loans for over 20 years. The opportunity arose to open his own business, and Lawton, along with a partner, opened Mescon Flooring on upper King Street. Lawton continued in the flooring construction business for twelve years before joining the property management team at Daniel Ravenel Real Estate. His past experience in the financial sector and the flooring/contracting business and his deep roots and knowledge of the local community make him uniquely qualified to manage investment property, and we are lucky to have him as a member of our team.
When not managing property, Lawton enjoys woodworking, gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and three adult children. Lawton is also a wonderful singer and is heavily involved in the Charleston Men’s Chorus and St. Philips Church Choir.
